Project Showcase: House in Verdict Ridge, Denver, North Carolina
“We could not be happier with our new flooring. Without hesitation I would recommend Kevin and his team at Carolina Custom Hardwoods again.” ~ Ryan Corbin
The customer was looking to replace the carpeted areas on the second floor and guest bedroom of their home. After 6 years (and two kids) the carpet was worn, stretched, and stained. The customer had existing hardwood floors on the first floor and needed the finishes to be consistent.
Seven days before the install the hardwoods were delivered to the customer’s home. Plastic was put over all furniture on the first floor to protect it against any dust particals. Within the first day of installation most all hardwoods were installed throughout the house.
Our dustless sanders were brought in to sand the floors smooth. Shortly after sanding the floors the crew begin to stain the custom hardwoods. The client choose a dark walnut color to match the existing flooring on the first floor.
Once the stain had dried the floors were polished and lightly sanded again. Once wiped clearn the first of several coats of polyurethane were applied for a mirror finish. The image below shows existing and new flooring and how exact the two were matched.
The final product is a beautiful new flooring enhancing the overall value of the home. Not only does the new floors help those with allergies it also reduces cleaning time.
